One great thing about this conference is the opportunity to reconnect with friends and relationships that have been built up over the years. There were two brothers that I have met in India who are here at this conference. It was great to spend some time with them.
God is doing some things in India. The Indian population will supersede China’s population soon and the number of unreached peoples is growing. The need is great but there are many capable people making a difference in Mumbai as well as in the northern part of India.
It is great to know that there are Kingdom workers on the field. I met George Chavanikamannil in my doctoral class. We were two unlikely people to connect since he was the oldest in the class and I was the youngest; but our heart for church planting and God’s Kingdom brought us together.
I met Anson Thomas several years ago when we went to Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay). He was (and still is) involved in rescuing some of the women (especially the young girls) who are forced to sell their bodies in the brothels. Anson has a heart for evangelism like none other. It is always refreshing to be around him.
It was good to spend some time with George… affectionately known as Uncle George.
Anson decided to go to Greenwich Village to preach the Gospel instead of the NYC tour – crazy and inspiring!
