Today, I went to one of Karissa’s teacher’s retirement party. Mrs. McDonough has been teaching the pre-primary Montessori class for 15+ years. She and Mrs. Duneske (the other teacher) have been teaching together for 15 years. They were Josiah’s teachers as well as Elliot’s.
It was pretty awesome to see students and families that had them over the years show up to honor her on this special day – some of the kids are now in high school.
I think this is one of the joys of the teaching profession – being able to make an impact on the lives of people who will later grow up to make a difference in this world.
We are so blessed to have had the boys go through her class and Karissa to at least experience one year of her teaching.
I was thinking – what would it be like to pastor some of our members’ children and grandchildren in the future – Wow!
