We are starting up a whole new series for the next 2 weeks. The pastoral staff and I decided to do a series called, “Blind-Sided.” This word often comes up in the context of sports when a quarterback gets hit from the side where he is unaware of the in-coming tackle. It catches the player by surprise and it jars him. Ultimately, it makes the quarterback think more carefully in the next play.
There are a lot of things that we are blind to and even unaware of in our lives. Sometimes it takes a hard hit by God to awaken us. This is the only way we are going to be able to grow and get to the next level. We are going to tackle the topics of “compromise” and “self-righteousness.”
Part one is titled “Just This Once.”
Part two is titled “At Least I Don’t.”
