We gave it a try for the first time at our last staff meeting – we held our staff meeting via video conference. Since some of the staff members were in Chicago, we decided to maximize the technology and the time that we had. There is still some tweaking that we need to do, but overall it went fairly well.
It is an incredible thought that we can be connected to people all over the world with just a computer. In fact, this will open up new opportunities for ministry in the future, especially with the new church plant in Chicago. We are even thinking about using some of the technology to link up the two churches together.
Even with all the advances in technology, I don’t think anything beats connecting with someone in a café while drinking coffee – in person.
